Finally upgrading my wiring from my alt to my battery since I installed a high output alt.

the 10 guage alt charge wire goes through a 50A breaker, then connects to the 00 wire on the back of the starter to the battery.

If I replace the 10 guage wire with a 4 guage, the wire wont get nearly as hot when the alt is dumping charge. So, should I just keep the 50A breaker in? or should I up the breaker too?

I did notice my friends new x2 has the same basic setup with a 4guage wire comming off the alt, but he still only has a 50A breaker.
