26 States 30 Lakes we're Wakeboarding across the U.S.

So we're off!

We worked on the boat and motorhome untill 4am and decided the heck with it lets just roll!

That lasted tell 5:30 when we got so tired we had to pull over and sleep for 2 hours! A short power nap and we're on the road! GPS promises we'll be in Las Vegas by 4pm, but its been known to lie in the past!

We had allot of other sponsor who jumped on board to help make our trip possible, Golden Bear Fire Extingishers (if we or you catch on fire we have some trick Halon fire Extingishers), Liquid Acoustics (hooked it up with some new speakers and amps, crazy loud), Paul's Paint & Custom (did some beautiful fiberglass work, made a fiberglass tonua cover for the bow and painted it), Nice-Rack (Horacio hooked it up with all his tower accesories bling-bling), The Liquid Playground (Austin hooked it up with a helmet to protect Gary's dome, only a few brain cells left that are undamaged trying to protect them! Plus a bunch of stickers if anybody wants some), Go Pro (hooked us up with two HD Cameras and 100's of crazy mounts and housings so we'll be getting all sorts of great footage) Paw Prints ( John hooked it up in a big way with trip shirts that we'll be handing out for FREE to everyone that comes out to see us!) Lets see Vegas, should have been the last stop not the first! Spent to much money at the casinos, heck dinner was $114 bucks! What happened to the good days of $1.99 prime rib dinners? Heck we didnt have any money left for the girls at the Cheetah club!

So we just left Powell long drive in but we made it by 3pm went and got the end of the rail jam at antelope point. Hooked up with the winner Trent Poullin and went looking for some butter to shred! 3-4ft swells every where! About 1 hour before sunset we found a cove in warm creek and found some glass and watched Trent tear it up! We went out and tried to tear it up. Had some fun but no records made for us today! Just pulled the boat out of the water gonna have some dinner in Page and its off to the next Lake! Who we seeing in Utah Lake tomorrow or Willard Bay? Post some pics and maybe some video footage tonight too!

No one really tossed out money but they hooked us up with tons of swag. The money is all ours or I should say was! lol Seems like its blowing out the window as we drive!

Stopped by Utah Lake yesterday and decided not to launch 3-5ft swells looked like an ocean! Worried we wouldn't find any good water!

Made it to Willard Bay and got lucky! Not only did we find good water we got to ride with Chase "McBadAss" lol Had a good time and got some nice sets in!

Sitting at the Brigham Ford dealer right now hoping to get this bad fan clutch repaired this morning! Plus its pouring down rain! Attaching a few pics!

On the road again! Had an 8 hour detour in Brigham Utah while the guys at McFarland Ford Hooked us up sneaking us in front of customers that had been waiting since thursday!

Gonna roll into Idaho Falls tonight and ride the snake river in the morning! Hopefully we can meet up with some locals there and then its off to Hebgen in MT and touring Yellowstone. We decided to skip American Falls because of time issuses.

P.S. Scott we'd love to meet up with you in Elphant Butte and to anyone else if we're close come on out and take a set behind the boat. We're bribing people to come out with us with free swag! It doesn't get any better then that!

Been awhile since we updated so I gues I'll try getting everybody up to date and post some pics. So we visited Island Park Lake in Idaho where Gary went Polar Bear status and trunked it for a quick session. Then it was off to Hebgen Lake in Montana where we boated but both passed on riding because the lake was 5 feet deep and solid weeds. We then cruised through Yellowstone where we saw tons of wildlife and old faithfull plus a bunch of reeally pretty natural wonders. On the way out of Yellowstone we came across the beautiful Jackson Lake Wy. We then headed for Flaming Gorge. We didn't make it all the way there so we crashed in back of a gas station in the middle of the boons in wyoming. Today we woke up early and made it to Flaming Gorge where Gary says I had the best ride of my life, felt clean but I don't know if I would go that far. We are now camping in Fort Collins for the night and its Horsetooth in the AM then its off to Glendo in WY and then Minatare in Nebraska.

P.S. Gary is a terrible driver. I'm goofing off on line while he's driving down the road and next thing you know we're being pulled over by 2 cop cars! Turns out we blew a fuse and had no trailer lights! lol They take things serious out here! lol

I see you guys are heading across the FL panhandle on Saturday 9-11... You owe it to yourself to head down and ride in the Santa Rosa sound or in one of the bayous down here... Not to mention that Crab Island (party spot in Destin) should be going off. If you guys want to make a detour my crew and I would love to meet up and ride with ya'll. It's only about 30 minutes out of your way. Hell I probably owe you a few beers for hooking me up with my underwater LED's... Let me know if you guys want to swing down and I'll get you the info.

Hey guys... I talked to you not to long ago... Just checking when your going to be in Florida?

Jarod Lake Minatare was cool for a small lake if you want to camp on the shoreline but the water was all chopped out when we where there and there where no boats on the water. Its a really small and shallow lake.

Joe I think we're in florida on the 8th or 9th which ever one is a friday! lol Not sure what day today even is. lol

So I'll get everyone updated.

Spent a couple days in Nebraska for the wedding. Wedding was great even if I couldnt breath in my tux and I couldn't talk my buddy into letting be wear flip flops and boardshorts during the wedding.

We left after the reception around 10pm and hauled butt up to Mount Rushmore. Rolled into the black hills around 2am expecting to see the faces lit up but it turns up they only light them between 9-11pm and they don't open tell 8:30 in the morning. So at 2:30 in the morning we're driving around looking for a campground that isn't full on Labor Day weekend. Turns out everywhere was full and at 3am we rolled into a KOA that was full but they said we could camp in the back yard with no hook ups for free. So we saved a few bucks so that was good I suppose.

We woke up in the morning later then we wanted and rolled over to the Mount Rushmore park and saw all it had to offer in about 30 minutes. And then it was on the road in search of water! We found it when we came upoun the Missouri River. Water wasn't bad considering there where 100's of boats. We both threw down aa quick set and then it was on the road again.

We had hoped to boat in Iowa and Minnasota but because of time we skipped these two states and trucked down to Kansas City where we slept for the night in the Super Wal-Mart Parking lot we got there about 3am thanks to Gary napping during the day so he could drive later when I git to tired to drive.

Woke up this morning at 6am and started driving while Gary slept on our way to Powell to hit the party zone. When we arrived at noon I must say we where dissapointed. Choppy do good water to ride anywhere. We hooked up with a wakeboarder who swore the 2 foot chop was the best water on the lake. But there was always the party cove. Or was there? We rolled in to find about ten boats spread out loaded with gray haired men checking there stock reports and social security checks while lounging in there mini yachts. Turns out Labor Day nobody partys there I guess sunday is the party day even on a holiday weekend, So we left and headed west towards grand lake of the cherokees in oklahoma but on the way here we swerved north into kansas when we saw some butter water on the riverton. Unfortunatly after investigating the river we found the average water depth to be 2 feet with stumps everywhere so we passed and headed down to grand lake of the cherokees where I am typing away as I speak. Gonna board in the am around 7.

Most recent update! We rode Bull Shoals in Arkansas, Grand Lake of the Cherokees in Oklahoma, and attempted to ride Riverton in Kansas but the average water depth of 2-3 feet scared us off not to mention the stumps sticking out of the water! And as luck would have it I hit the prop loading the boat on the trailer at Bull Shoals and threw my shoulder out riding at Grand Lake. I guess I'm still not ready to try 360's! lol I went for a 180 wake to wake and rotated a little too much if you can believe that! Sitting in our campground in Cape Guardo or something like that in Mo. right on the border of Illinois and Kentucky going to ride the Mississippi river right now then head down to Nashville to ride Old Hickory. I think I might have to sit today out being I cant lift my arm over my shoulder. I'll post some pics from yesterdays travels below.

So your not riding in Orlando then?

We will be riding in Orlando still we're just going to add a stop on the panhandle, the only time we skip or change a lake is if the lake isn't rideable or doesn't have acess to get on or if no one is meeting us there and through our travels we find a better lake close bye. Like today we where going to ride Old Hickory in Nashville but the two guys that where suppose to meet us couldn't make it and a fellow wakeboarder at the gas station told us to skip hickory and head over to J. Priest Parsley or something like that and that water was clearer and we saw two boats on the whole lake and it was butter like I haven't seen in along time. I'll post some pics from todays travels in a few after I download them. And if your planning on meeting up with us at a lake shoot me a pm or email or text with your info a number we can reach you at and the lake where we'll be seeing you so we can call when where getting close and cordinate. Sometimes I find people who say there going to meet up forgot and a day later and a state away we get a call. We want to hang out with everyone thats what this trip is about for us finding some nice water in cool locations and meeting some awesome folks off wakeworld.

So.. just curious. How much beer have you consumed and if so, what state has the best and cheapest beer?

Sarge, not much. I got hammered at the wedding but other than that nothing. We have a full keg of beer that has had maybe two beers out of it because we wanted it for Lake of the Ozarks and there was nobody there! So we need to meet up at some party spots to polish this thing off being me and gary are on the disabled list now. I have a pulled shoulder and gary has a strained knee.

I can't figure out how to send a PM... If your still planning on the panhandle on Saturday give me a call (850)936-7513... I'll be heading back form New Orleans that morning but I should be back around by noon or so and I'll be ready to ride..

Wish I would have saw this sooner, Lake Jocassee in Salem, SC is an awesome spot to ride. Crystal clear water and some nice camping. I am actually there from Sept 16-20th.

There wasn't anything going on at Lake of the O on Labor Day weekend?

Lake of the Ozarks was dead on Labor day, monday, we where at a wedding on saturday and sunday was working our way over there but there was nobody there! The best was I knew it was party cove when I pulled my anchor up and 4 sets of beads came up on the anchor! lol Wonder what that cove would look like empty!


So driving to Orlando right now be in town about Midnight! Just bought 80lbs of ice so we'll have ice cold beer! Who's thirsty? Join us for a beer on the Maliblue and then whats the happenings tomorrow where we riding at who with?

I would love to come meet up & take a set behind the famous Maliblue, but I don't think I'll be able to leave work early. What a very cool trip your having!

Surf Expo was a blast met allot of cool people saw some new stuff that'll be banned from the lakes in no time! For example a hydrofoil you hang on to while being pulled by a boat at 10mph and can dive down a 100 feet. wonder how long tell that gets banned? lol Post pics in a few hours. Louisana riding tomorrow and then tsr on monday who's going to meet up?

Rode today with Aaron and his crew in Fort Walton Beach Florida, great times and a great bunch of people! Florida its been fun but New Orleans we've got our eyes set on you right now! See you in the french quarters on Bourbon street in a couple hours!

Thats right 26 states 30 plus lakes and we've already been pulled over twice! Lady was a complete sweet heart said you know what you did and why I pulled you over ran our licsenses and came back and said have a safe trip!

Aaron your cool and we had fun but Florida sucks! We didn't have to pay to drive down to orlando but we've hit 4 toll booths on the way home! This one was $10.50

Now I know why everybody in florida rolls single axle trailers. Its so they don't have to pay the toll on the extra axle! lol

I'm pretty sure we through close to $100 in your boat when you left so I'm sure you'll be fine... Now get to work on my drinking lights... LOL Hope you guys tore up Bourbon street.

Aaron thanks for the dough, I know we said no a hundred times and you wouldn't accept that. You knew about thoose toll highways! lol Thanks again for the great times, good riding, partying and eats!

Riding at TSR Had fun playing on the cable and hitting our first rails. Was great comedic relief for everyone at TSR! Cable is really interesting because its so different then being pulled with a boat I have sore muscles in places I didn't know I had muscles and a few bruises to go with that. TSR tore us up but we had a blast. We weren't planning to stay as long as we did, but we didnt want to leave. We definatly need a cable park in the bay area. I got the land to put it on in South San Jose who wants to help me dig. I'll supply the shovels! lol
