Does anyone here store in a U-Store it type of place? What do you pay and how big would it have to be for a 21' boat with trailer?

Totall going to depend on where you are. At the Delta we're paying $200/month for storage.

The storage place by my house was willing to negotiate with me. I had him run power into the unit & got his price down from $160/mo. to $115/mo. I believe it's a 12'x25' with a rollup door high enough I can get the boat in with the tower still up.

There is a storage place about about 30 minutes north of us that has indoor storage with 110 hookup. He charges $1.50 per foot per month. So we store the RV and boat all winter and it costs us about $88/month. Both are kept indoors and have battery maintainers hooked up all winter.

I know a group of owners that share rent on local enclosed hanger space at the airport. I'm not sure the cost, but they split it up and they are assured of a secure location.

Anything in Sacramento CA for around $100 +/- ? I'm tierd of dealing with mildew from condensation under the cover......Or anyone know if the damp-rid systems work good enough?

I have used the Dry-Z-Air things for quite a few years, a lot of that in Seattle where it's terminally wet all winter. Their available at any Wally World or Home Depot.
If Damp-rid is anything like that I'd say it works great.
Also, gotta have a good, breathable, Sunbrella cover on your boat.

Try 24 hour storage in West Sacramento or Rocklin. There is a new indoor storage facility in Rancho Cordova, you can see it from 50 (I believe you can get month to month for around $120.

Delta RV and boat storage in Disco Bay has a new building opening up at about 100.00 for a 21' boat. 9256348551

I used dry-z-air last year and they worked great with the cover on all winter. I put one in the V-drive locker and one on the floor in the seating area. I went out every couple weeks to empty them and they were always full. I did not get any mold. My boat is stored outside, but storage unit is enclosed on all sides except the front - 15x30 unit.

As far as the mildew goes...
You can try a 5 gal. pail of charcoal.
Or you can do as I do and use a dehumidifier.

Store at the lake (Mt. Harbor on Lake Ouachita in Arkansas) 14x40 with electricity for $1350.00/year. Keep two of them. One for the boat, jet skis and ATV. One for the RV.
