I'm looking to trade my ultras for a pair of 3060's in the hope that they would be easier to get off than the ultras because of the lace up back. However reading the reviews on wakeworld people are saying they are a real bitch to get off. Are they more or less of a bitch than the ultras?

3060s should be much easier to get off. I had the older byerlys for 2 years (same as 3060s) I thought they were very easy to get on and off.

I've ridden both and the 3060s are a little easier o get off but they still hurt my feet around the tarsal area. Not as much as the Ultras do though. So the answer to your question is they are less of a bitch to get off. Harry the reason there harder to get off in the winter is that you prolly dont ride as much so they are tighter and when its hot outside the bindings stretch more.

My 04 Ultra's are way worse than my 02's. Its that new neoprene material...but damn, it's comfy.

They do get better with each ride...but I couldn't imagine there being a more difficult boot to get out of than the '04s.

(I am on my second pair of the 04's...the plate literally busted in half on the first pair when I was trying to kick out of them at the end of my run. Warranty replaced them, obviously...).

I'd imagine they will be easier to get into in the summer. I think the cold has a lot to do with it.

Ultras are the worst to get out of. I feared I would one day have to cut them off if I ever had another knee or ankle injury.

i always thought about that to, having to cuz off my exos if sometihn were to happen, cux even though they have the laces it dont make it much easyer to get out of.

The first time I ever rode the ultras I was riding the 2003 Ultras. I was stuck floating around for a half hour. I have size 13 feet and the bindings were size XL. These were brand new however after awhile they got a little bigger. They still hurt my feet and are hard to get out of. So if you have feet as big as mine I would advise getting them.

either do a face plant or hard nose dive and you'll pop out of the ultra's real easy...

i have 04 ultras and their tough to get out of size 10 foot large binding. the easiest way is to lay in the water and try to keep you toes strait up but pull the rail of the board toward your head.
