"How is it possible" that on a lake with at least 25 comp boats, 10 day cruisers, way too many water massqitos(jet skis) and 5 cigeret boats that I am the one to hit some slightly submerged something!!! Now I don't wish it upon anyone else, just seems to be my f-up luck. This makes "two"props already this season. How often do others take out their props? Is this just me???

Ive been super lucky, only one prop in 4 years. I wasn;t the one who was driving when it happened. It was this chick named Laine who was so HOT I couldn't get mad at her. Just looking at her in that Bikini driving was worth the 550 I had to spend to get a new one.

That sucks man.

To be honest...we haven't hit anything with a prop in like...as long as I can remember. A long time.

We just have good luck I guess?

We've hit some pretty large pieces of wood (even a log about 2 feet in diameter), but never had any real damage..and never hit the prop.

that sucks man..
i just slammed the boat with 15 hundred pounds, and our lake is an average of 5 to 10 feet deep, so the prop is in the shop right now.
as bad as it sounds, i have to say it made me laugh to see the tips of the prop completely curled into circles

If you go to Shasta in the spring, bring a spare I've taken out 6 props in 10 years & 4 have been at Shasta.

Tony, July should be fine, in early spring a lot of logs are floating that you can't see. I was talking to a guy who has a cabin on Shasta and he said the water level is down 60 feet, the 4th should be good but Aug. will be hurting for water.
