Trace, I'm going thru a similar issue. It could be a number of things. I haev narrowed it down to either being a bad amp or the brand of amp I have just run that hot. this is after numerous diagnostics with the manufactuer of the amp. I haev some fan lying around so I'm going to add them. Very easy to wire. you'll need a relay. hook the remote wire up to the relay so when your stereo powers on the amp fans turn on. what amps do you have

Chase I just added a 1" wide aluminum strip across the face with 1-2 small computer fans attached but you may need more then that due to your high ambient temps. What about a small bilge blower with a 3" hose aiming at the amp area and grabbing outside air for the cooling? A buddy with an SSV did this and he mounted the blower at the area beside the passenger next to the driver where there was a gap thru to the storage area.

My stereo guy added a drum type fan right above the amp. Its close to the wall so its not going to get in the way.

This is what I have done so far. I still have to make a bracket to blow air directly onto the amps

They will be hooked up to a relay that gets switched on when the remote signal fires from the head unit.

If I were you, I would look for some super high CFM fans...not all computer fans are made alike.

I'll post some more tonight in my thread on pn. I still have to finish wiring up the bulkhead on the fiberglass where the connector goes.

The fans that I am using are 120mm x 38mm 72cfm fans that are completly sealed and waterproof. This things can actually run under water.

I use these for cooling...

They are pretty expensive, large and kind of noisy, but they move 265 CFM which helps to cool things down in tight spaces!
