I have a Mercruiser 350 MPI. I went to change the water-seperating fuel filter today and the service manual talks about activating a schader valve to relieve pressure in the fuel system prior to removing the filter. First, I can't find the schader valve! Does anyone know where the valve is or give me advice on changing the filter?

Thanks in advance,

Tim

A schraeder valve is on the hose. You have a quick connection hose.

I have a similar motor and have no problem with simply spinning off the filter. Just have a rag to wrap it up and collect the spilled fuel.

Thanks. This is the first time I've done the service. I was afraid that if I didn't release the pressure I would have fueling spilling.
