I'm wanting to upgrade my ballast on both sides. I've got an 05 Enzo SV230. I'm thinking of getting an Enzo Sac. I guess my question to those in the know is how hard is it to install it? Will it fit on the starboard side? Do you remove the factory tanks? What recommendations do you have regarding the pump? I don't really like hanging my pump over the side of the boat. I really just want to flip a switch to have it fill. My factory tanks seem like they take forever to fill. Just to mention, we don't wakeboard at all. We only surf.

Matt;
I can't speak for the Enzo, but I just upgraded my Tige 24V with enzo sacs. I had to remove the factory ballast tanks, but no big deal. The sacs rolled into place perfectly. If your concerned about sizing, call Fly High and talk to Mike Sieple. He will help you out. As far as pumps go, my factory pumps fit perfectly. I have Johnson pumps with inter-changable cannisters. I changed from the stock 500 g.p.h. canister to 1000 g.p.h. canisters. The sacks fill/empty in about 9 minutes.
Hope this helps you a bit.

Thanks. I will call Fly High. Was it difficult to do yourself?

Yes it will go on the starboard side. Its harder to install on the starboard side vs the port side. The factory tanks are held down by two angle brackets in the front and back of the tank. The starboard side has no easy way to get to the brackets in the front. You will have to cut a hole in the back side of the tank and then cut a hole on the front side to reach the brackets, the other option is cut into the top of the bench on that side, not a good idea!. The pump on the tank you will use on the bag (its the empty pump), it screws into the 3/4" black flange value at the back of the bag. You will want to buy (3) 3/4 PVC ball values, (12) 1-1/4" hose clamps and about 15' of black 3/4" PVC hose. The ball values are good to have because the water will get forced out of the bag through the empty, fill lines or overflow lines, The ball values are installed in line and can be closed once the bag is full. The port side took about 4 hrs and the starboard side took to long. I would say 5-6 hrs if you know what to do and have done the port side otherwise who knows. You will run the intake pump line to the back W736 and W742 fittings, the overflow to the front with a W736 and W742 fittings.

Thanks 8ball. That was very detailed and sounds a bit complicated. I may get the dealer to do it. I was looking in the starboard side compartment and there are a couple of screws that separate the back compartment from the starboard side seat. I was thinking of trying to put it there and not mess with the factory tank as a back up option. I'm not sure that the arm portion of the enzo sac will fit there though. It may need to be a custom sac to fit that area.

Yet, you take the screws out and remove the panel thats easy part. You will see the white tank up under the starboard seats with a yellow pump (thats the empty pump). You should see a couple of brackets that you will need to unscrew and just check maybe they didn't put brackets and screws on the front side for that year, if it moves your in luck! cut the intake and empty hose close to the tank and pump and cut the wire coming out of the pump about 12" from the pump and the tanks out, if not your going to have to cut a hole into the back side to get to the front side brackets.

How far forward are the factory tanks? If they are too far forward will that adversely affect the wake. We've got the port side pretty much dialed in as follows:

Factory tank: full
Port Side Compartment: 680lbs (launch pad)
Passenger Side Seat: 680lbs (launch pad)

When trying the same set up on the starboard side it just stinks. We've played with the speed, the trim tab, with only a little improvement. I bought about 300 pounds of sand and have put them in 50 lb impervious bags. We're going to play around with that this weekend.

Here is a picture from my owners manual. The tanks that you are referring to are the midship tanks under the port and starboard benches on each side. I have a Enzo 240 with the Enzo sac on the port side, 8ball right on the time about 4hrs to install, was looking to install one on the starboard side but didn't see a way to do it without cutting into the boat. I see know what 8ball talking about cutting through the tank to get to the other side. I'm going to install one on the starboard side, i'll give a report when done. Oh, the starboard side is always dirty on my boat. We have put a ton of weight on that side 1800 to 2000 lbs and still get prop wash.

The mid ship tanks are further back in the corners. To get at the brackets that hold the starboard tanks down just remove the starboard side interior panel. There are about 4 or 5 bolts holding on. It will come off in two pieces on your model. With that removed you have easy access to remove all the tank hardware. It's really a piece of cake for a do-it-yourself project.

I will try to find some pictures of mine with the interior removed to show you what I mean.

I run the Fly High bow sac in mine as well as the enzo sac. With all that weight in the front I burn less fuel and can see over the bow while seated.

I was just looking at the Enzo sac so called weight of 1500 lbs and called fly high to get the actual size and I get 842.4 lbs. The bag is a rectangle thats 12"x22"x48"= 12672 cu in = 7.3 cu ft and a cube thats 22"x22"x22"= 10648 cu in = 6.2 cu ft around up, which equals 13.5 cu ft total and the weight of 1 cu ft is 62.4 lbs for a total of 842.4 lbs. Is this math wrong, i know the bag can expand but from 842.4 to 1500 thats almost twice its size.

The 12" dimension doesn’t sound right to me. I have three 20x20x50 Fly High sacks, they weigh 750.

Dimensions: 30" x 25" x 26" / ARM: 72" x 25" x 12"

30" x 25" x 26" = 19,500 cu in = 11.3 cu ft
72" x 25" x 12" = 21,600 cu in = 12.5 cu ft

Total 23.8 cu ft => 23.8*62.4 = 1,471

Bigshow, were did you get those dimensions. Mike at Fly High gave me the dimensions. I know the bags not 102" long, I measured my bag and was 1" to 2" plus or negative from the Fly measurements.

Took a while to find a web page with those numbers, I don't recall which one. The Barefoot Intl web site requires Flash, IE7, or something else. I have neither and so I can't look at the horses mouth.

I can fit a 20x20x50 in my back locker and my boat is a lot smaller than an Enzo. I think that 22x22x22 section dimensions are incorrect for sure.

The Guys at Barefoot International/Fly High are pretty cool. I'm sure they'll work it out with you.

I found this pic of my boat with the starboard side interior removed. It makes for easy stock tank removal.

I just got in a bunch of Fly high factory seconds and they carry the same factory warranty and are starting at $99. Hit me with a PM message and I have all sorts of different sizes.
