Anyone have a problem w/ a whining noise when the speakers are on? It sounds like the engine is whining thru the speakers.

more than likely a bad ground. B/c the HLCD's can play at such high frequencies and are extemly effecient they will amplify pre-existing ground noises.

if you dont' feel liek messing with it, just use a Groudn loop isolator on the amp pushing the tower speakers.

Your amps and H/U should share the same ground, preferably at the battery. Check/try this first.

Make sure you are using high quality RCA cables as well. It is not the speakers it is coming from another source such as above.

Thats for sure a defective speaker, go ahead and sell those and grab a set of NVS speakers. That should get rid of the whining noise.

If they're white pro 60's... I will give you....say.....$500 for 'em. Just so you can get some "GOOD" ones to replace em!!!!
