There are plenty of boats, just depends on how good of a negotiator you are. However, seeing that you have a "2003 Sea Ray" and you're 16, a lot could change by the time you're prepared to make a purchase.

I would go with a 2001 or 2002 MC X-Star. Sometimes if you look hard enough and ask around then you can find a sweet boat fully loaded from somebody whos really tryin to get rid of it.An another good thing about X-Stars is they really hold extra weight good.

Check out a Supra Launch SSV. If you want to lower your price, check the Mobius LSV. You can get it loaded for $35k

Definitely Sanger. For $45000 you could probably go V210 OR V230 with a motor upgrade.

No one but you can determine what the "best" boat is for your needs. But if you want tons of storage, a lot of ballast flexibility, many features, and a lot of room in a new V-drive for under $45K, you owe it to yourself to check out a Supra. The deal only gets better if you go for a used one.

Mike you're 16 years old......out of curiosity, where does one come up with $45k at your age? And what is so bad about your parents "2003 Sea Ray?"

I love my 03 Wakesetter. VLX. I think it's the best boat for the money. I am 17, my parents fund my addiction :-)

Don't forget about Moomba or Supra, quality for less money. If I could get a boat for 45,000, I would go for a used Malibu. Can't go wrong with a Bu

Ryan, i'm 16, and for your information. publix pays great these days. I could easily afford a 45k ski boat. pocket change is all it is. i don't work at publix and never will. i'm good with my press.

That's how I started. I bought my first boat for $20,000, then I was going to spend $40,000, but ended up with SAN03 $$$$$ thousand. If your up around $45,000 and plan on financing, a few thousand more over 15 years is not really going to make that much difference. Get the boat you dream about. You only live once!
