There is a 1987 SN 2001 for sale about 5 hours from me and was curious on your guys opinions reguarding the boat. Looks to be in pretty good shape. Only thing is, he says its had some fiberglass work done and the drive shaft, rudder and some other things need to be re-installed. Not sure why the fiberglass work was done. I'm going to call him today and talk to him about it. As well as ask him some other things requarding the boat to see if its worth the road trip to look at it and drag it home. Anyways, here's what his ad says...
"1987 SKI NATIQUE, 351 FORD, THIS BOAT IS IN VERY NICE SHAPE - IN AND OUT. MOTOR RUNS GREAT WITH 840 HRS TOTAL BOAT TIME, TEAK SWIM DECK, CD PLAYER, NEW BATTERY, NEW STARTER, NICE TRAILER. I'M SELLING FOR CHEAP PRICE BECAUSE BOAT IS IN NEED OF A LITTLE WORK. BOTTOM OF BOAT HAS HAD SOME FIBERGLASS REPAIR WORK DONE. TWO THINGS: THE DRIVE STRUT AND THE STEERING RUDDER NEED TO BE RE-INSTALLED ON BOTTOM OF BOAT. I'M SELLING BOAT WITH ALL PARTS NEEDED TO FIX, INCLUDING A NEW PROP, NEW DRIVE SHAFT, NEW DRIVE STRUT AND NEW RUDDER. I BOUGHT BOAT AS IS BECAUSE I THOUGHT I COULD FIX, BUT IT IS A LITTLE BEYOND MY ABILITY. LOCAL BOAT SHOP SAID THEY COULD FIX FOR APPROX. $600-$800. "
He wants $4800 for it. What else should I look for beside stingers and compression? Thanks guys. Here's some pics of the boat...
