I was at Sams and stumbled across some hyperlite boards with the Spin bindings for $258 and I'm not sure which ones they are. The first was blue and said Element across the top. It said element 140 on the tag. The only thing I could come across was that they made these in 2000, but it looks different than the pic I saw. The second was red with a dragon on it. It had no words or labels, but it did have two small molded fins on each end. I wanted to find out if anyone knew what it was and if it was worth $258. Thanks

the red one with the dragon is a 2000 belmont 140 honeycomb, $258 is way too much for a board that old, even if it has never been used

I believe the 2002 or 2003, they look so similar

The Element is a 2003. I got that as my first board last season. Those boards are just kind of an intro to wakeboarding. There aren't too many bells and whistels to them. I got mine at Sportmart I think. It ride's just fine and held up really really well. I don't know about those bindings, because I got a diff pair with mine. This setup is decent for a beginner. Personally I wanted a four fin board that would cut harder. It's a good combo if you don't have anythign to ride. But if you have bindings already, I would suggest just buying a used board from the Wake World classifieds.

http://www.hyperlite.com/boards/

The board guide does have these boards on the list, but you need to look back at the boards for 2000.

A lot of times companies will do special runs of certain boards or graphics for various reasons. They aren't official model releases that will show up in their catalog and they frequently show up at discount chains.

http://www.wakeskate.com/Catalog.asp?CatalogID=2010&CompanyID=5&CategoryID= 11 That should be the board. I bet it's an older hyperlite model that they remade with new graphics. Personally, I would prefer molded fins rather than the one center fin.

I also saw this board package for sale at OWC for $250. Hope this helps.
