My co-worker just bought a 65 Chris Craft with twin desiels. He says it will cruse at 20 knots. The hull looks like a good shape. I heard that if you only run the oposite prop then your surfing and it makes the wake really clean.

Let us know. I wouldn't assume it will be perfect. Trim tabs? Post some pics!

Well at the price he paid or is paying for it I don't think a jetski would be too much money and when someone fell i would have the jetski pick em up and get them back to that monster boat... just my idea...

Oh yeah we were planning to tow in with a jetski. Has no one tried the one engine thing, i've heared of people doing it with X 80's.
He's cool with letting us surf it so i'll get some good video. What kind of board do you suggest. Probaly some kind of ocean board huh.

Forget the jetski. You guys are kidding right? Use a surfboard and just paddle back to the boat after a fall. You'll still be paddling only 1/3 as much as normal ocean surfing.

David- please explain this one engine situation. I'm assuming one would use the opposite engine of the side one is surfing? The X80 isn't single screw?
We used a 50' throw rope for getting people back to the boat quickly w/ out turning around. It wasn't always long enough, so I'm thinking a 100' will be perfect. But I also agree w/ Jim, one should just paddle back.

Uhhh It won't work or if it does you'll be runnign one engine at wot because that is a alot of boat for just one engine mabey far onhe spins a little faster aqnd the surf side one be a little slower to compensate
