I have a chance to buy one at a very reasonable price, and was wondering how it would do for a budget wakeboard boat. The boat is very clean and well taken care of. Any help would be appriciated.

One of my friends has a '76, and it's an great boat all around. The wake is surprisingly good for riding, it's steep and has a pretty good shape, fill it with people and you'll have a great time. I've seen people throw crow mobes and hoochies off that boat. If it's in great shape and you've got a good deal, you got yourself a classic, go for it.

I just sold my 1975 CC Skier, and must say it was a very reliable, sound and fun boat. With a Ford 302, 220 hp engine it had all the power you'd ever need and had a decent wake for boarding.
The only drawback was the lack of space and storage area.

Thanks for the help, That is what I was hoping to hear. I just want something i will be able to progress behind. How much weight did you guys have to run in order to get a decent wake out of them.

I have a 77 Skier that I bought about 2 months ago. Pretty good boat. Ditto on the no storage thing. With about 750 extra lbs of water and 4 people, it threw a pretty good wake. Maybe I can get my friend to post some pics of it from this past week.
