HI !! I have decided to buy a wakeboard boat. I'm from Poland and "here" we have only one wakeboard boat, a moomba so I can't test drive any of them. I need a boat with great wake, beautifull interior, preety economic and cool looking. I have been in Orlando in wakeboard camp, and I loved Malibu VLX, This boat has all aspects I want. I'm thinking also about: - Malibu LSV (bigger would be better) - MC X-2 - MC X-star - Air nautique 210team I have heared that mastercraft needs a lot of weight to create nice wake is it true ? I don't wanna to pay much for gasoline because here in poland gasoline is preety expensive. I'm intersted only in boats 2004-2006. All of these boats has great interrior, I guess enourmous wake, and cool looking but which one should I choose. Thanks for any reply, and sorry for grammar mistakes but my english isn't very good. Greetings

They are all good choices, but I would go with one or three. As far as gas goes, the smaller the better, ie x2, or 210.

Hubert, Your Grammer is better than most people on here. And your english is just fine. Good luck with your boat buying experience. I would get the VLX , X Star or 210. All are great boats with great wakes.

I would say the x-star or VLX cause he said, "Bigger would be better." Not that they are superior then the others, just larger.

I don't wanna Supra/mommba because my friend has one and I don't like interior quality. I would like to have great interior. Saying bigger would be better, I mean bigger size of the boat would be better for me because, I like to have many people on the boat. Thanks friends but still I don't know which to choose. My friends from holland and germany sugest me to buy a Malibu, and they said to don't buy X-star because it needs a tons of ballast, so It means the boat would be heaver so the consumption of fuel would be much bigger. I know that every wakeboard boat needs addtional balast without serial one but I don't wanna to put 6 fatsacks on it. What about the wake of malibu, what does it looks like ?, I guess that I will take malibu (I love how ilussion X tower looks on this boat). Of course you can sugest me to buy another one, not from the list Thanks for all

The wake on the Malibu LSV is really nice but you will probably want additional ballast. Either add some people and ride with the wedge and all stock tanks full and the wake will be nice. Or add some additional sacs to the trunks and bow and pull up the wedge. This would probalby be the best method. Just add 4-500 in each trunk and another 500 to the bow and you will be very happy!

I think the additional weight for the two will be comprable. Both boats throw nice wakes. I think it would come down to which one you like better. You really can't go wrong with either.

This picture is the wake behind my 07 23LSV. Factory ballast, manual plate down, 4 or 5 people in the boat. It was around 22mph, 65 feet of rope. More pictures at http://www.wakesiderides.com/rides/index.php?page=out&id=2178

Hey man I think you should checkout the new x1. it is the old xstar hull. The boat starts at 40K with the trailer. Then you can get anything you want added on to it. The boat comes with a lot standard. Mastercraft is the only company that offers a electronic fuel injected motor standard. Go and check out the new x1 and let me know wat you think.

The 07 Malibu 23LSV has fuel injection and catalytic converters standard but they are trying to keep it a secret from Mastercraft owners, so please don't tell anyone else. I think they are planning an add campaign based on the premise that other boats stink.

I paid $55K for mine and at least 3K of that was stereo. The VLX should be at least 4K less. Close enough IMO.

Are you looking for a boat under $50000 in US currency? Are you considering the price of shipping to Poland? You can probably find any of those boats under 50k in the 2004-2005 range. I personally like the 210 and x-1 for the wake. (Message edited by malibuboarder75 on November 12, 2006)

I want to pay for all (Boat + shipping and all those taxes stuff) maximum about 60000$. Thanks leo but X-1 is too small for me. hmm maybe 210. I would like to buy used boat. What do you think about malibu compare to other wakeboard boats. I have always "loved" malibu boats.

Hubert, I would say go with the VLX. You already know that it will work for you. I doubt that the new X2 would require more ballast than the VLX for a good wake. But still you are getting a perfect boat with the VLX for your needs.

Team: I think 210 is 21 ft and the x1 is 205= 20 ft 5 inches. The X-1 has like an 88inch beam I think the 210 is slightly wider? Hubert I would say the VLX, but I think getting any of these, plus shipping to Poland is going to exceed 60K. Maybe used? Good luck G
