Hyperlite Premier 141 yellow or pink?????

I'm baisically real new to the sport. (so cut me some slack) I have tried all kinds of boards and currently ride a Gator 141. I really like the yellow Premier 141.....but the pink looks to be the same in all specs....whats the difference?? Thanks for the help.

the pink one is the balsa wood DNA core, theoretically lighter, and snappier off the wake (see 'more expensive').

I have a 141 Premier Bio Core (yellow) I really like the board but those graphics are hideous. I did not buy the board for the "look" but I will say it is one of the ugliest boards I have ever owned. It has a guys head on it singing like a pop star. I have been told that the guy is ugly also (I wouldn't know). The board rides like a dream, very smooth, predictable and the best board I own. I like it more then the byerly

I agree david, I have been trying to decide what board to buy and I am leaning towards the Premier bio, but it is hideous. I am like you and don't buy for graphics but man, that thing is awful looking. How quick is it? Hows the pop? Have you ever ridden a TFD? I have heard they are very different, but I don't know. Unfortunatley I can't demo at our local board shop, so if I don't like what I get I am pretty much stuck with it. I don't know anybody with either of these boards.

I have an '03 Premiere, both 2002 and 2003 models have good graphics, the '04 is but ugly, what were they thinking?? Anyways IMO hyperlite boards aren't very fast on the water, still like it for it's tracking and easy landings, decent consistent pop, but kinda slow.

if I was looking to buy a board and I didn't like the graphic I would pass it up. I wouldn't ride the '04 premier just for that reason.

Has anyone seen the '05 graphics yet? I didn't buy the Biolite Premier due to it's hideous looks.

HYPERLITE - If your reading this please, anything but yellow or pink wannabe popstars (Although I do dig Hendrix and Morrison on the bottom on the ERA series).

Hey, didn't I read somewhere on here that the ERA was basically the shape of the 02 or 03 premier?

'05's gonna be a new shape, but you didn't hear that from me.

I happy to hear that most of us think the graphics are horrible. I do really like the way it rides though.

i think most of u are crazy and to agree with rypayne..maybe old too. jk/lol. i ride the pink and am proud of it. since when have looks overtaken performance anyways??? its an unbelievable board and the dna core is definitely worth the extra 80-100 bucks. ride on...

Doesn't the 2005 model include pink, yellow, and baby blue...and look like a rainbow or something?

I have '04 Premier 136, rides really nice. The graphics (and I might be mistaken here, haven't looked that closely) are actually an old picture of a guy back in the prohibition days taken shortly after prohibition was ended. So he's actually partying because beer was made legal again. Does that make it any cooler?

can anyone tell me if it is worth getting the DNA over the Biolite... im a broke college student that needs a new board so i can bust out when i ride with my rich friends... can someone tell me if i should spend the extra bucks for a DNA or are they pretty much the same?

I went for the LF Substance over the Premier, main reason, I didn't want a hot pink board.
