Hey guys I have a quick question I was at our local hole and nicked my prop on a moring line someone left in the lake(stainless cable sleeved in nylon) luck i only taped it and it didnt wrap up. Any how we are planing a trip this weekend and i want some of you to take a look at my pics and see if it bad enough to pay to drop ship and express a new prop or just run with i. Ive got emails into Acme and OJ to resize the prop but have gotten no replies. The Boat is a 92 Brendella Supercomp with a PCM 5.8L the current prop , not original, is a 14x18 cupped LH, and the only info i can find on the original prop say it was a 14x16. With the 14x18 im WOT at 3200-3400 at 42-44mph. Any way any info you all can give me on running the damaged prop and on what size the new on should be would be great

I would not run it like that. I would re size to. Call Acme and tell them what you do with the boat and how much weight you run. They will give you a recomendation on a prop based on the info you give them.

I also damaged my prop from hitting a shallow point yesterday. Is there an easy way to find out if the prop shaft took some damage as well?

Thanks for the replies guys i talked to Acme today...finally had to email and call twice, anyway they suggested dropping from the 14x18 cup 3blade OJ to their 13x14 .135 3 blade this seems like a dramatic change, i plan to call Eric from OJ and get a second opinion.

I would suggest a 14 X 16 LC 1 1/8" 4-blade. Will call to discuss.

Hey Eric ran the boat this weekend got 3800 RPM at 40.8 MPH GPS, at WOT what do you think?? The hole shot improved as well as the torque. We wakeboarded at 24 MPH which put it right around 2100 PRM.

I have always been a fan of OJ and have always treated me right in terms of service and performance of props. Glad that worked out...
