So whats the deal w/ canyon, I've been looking at houses around there and they're actually not priced too steep. I'm just wondering what kind of riding restrictions they have there and what they charge in association fees? Do they schedule it out or are there only a few channels to ride..

main lake, no ballast allowed.

backwater, no restrictions.

Joe, do you mean the arms for "backwater"?

Also, what if you hide your ballast well, how do they know?

Terrible place. Police watch your every move. Can't have ANY ballast and water is contaminated all the time. Definately don't want to move there

Definatley NOT where you want to buy a house, the backwater is like the wild west, polluted and white caps all the time. Sherrifs patroling for ballasts and skiers at every turn.....you'll thank us later.

Don't forget the poisonous snakes in the backwater.

Oh yea....I forgot about the snakes and non ending rollers. Also last summer I sliced a huge jumping fish in half and had to dodge another dead one floating on the water. And the wave runner riders chase you so you have to ollie over them then they blame you for damage to their waverunner. I can't stand it there anymore. I am moving to Tulloch. That private lake rocks.

I was riding on Canyon Lake once and got shot.
Then they made me get a tattoo.

It's a horrible place.

and the sunken boat....I think the owners were shot by illegals a few years ago and they left the boat there. It's too far underwater to get now.

Cruddy water...I heard there is a brown trout out there that terrorizes the water and smells something fierce! Not to mention that the thing is growing and rapidly getting bigger.
