im wondering what older ski competition boats(late 80's and early 90's) have a good and big wake for wakeboarding. and which boats have rampy wakes and which have more of a steeper curled wake.

Ski Nautique with 2001 hull (not 2001 year).

Malibu echelons have a similar hull to the vlx and put out a sweet wake.

Ski Nautique 2001's are good but they are so small that they can get pulled around really easily. Malibu Echelons (imho) are better for wakeboarding overall. Early 90's Supra Sunsports are about as good as you'll find in that timeframe.
