sorry for the multiple fin posts.. I ended up getting a couple of rainbow fins from the local pro shop today.. and it seems that the whole patterns dont match up to the board I have, the question I have is:

1. Can the fin be attached with 1 screw?
2. whats going to be the difference between putting the fin more forward or more back?

Sorry again.. fins are all new to me since I never rode with fins on my own board

If you only have one screw in the fin it won't do a very good job of directing the water flow. Probably just end up flailing all over the place, it needs to be solid.

You could drill new holes, but that's a pretty nasty way to go, especially if your board is new. You'd probably need to seal them somehow to stop the core from getting screwed up by leaks too.

I think the Lyman has a set up where you can move the fins forward or backward. I would guess the further back you have them mounted the more torque they would produce. Not too sure...

What board do you have? Most have one hole for the screw to go through the board and two indents to hold the fin from twisting. I think liquid force has just two holes. Your rainbow fins should be able to work on either one. Post up a picture and I am sure someone on here can figure it out.

The fins don't have multiple holes? When I got some smaller carbon fiber fins to change out on my old board they had like 4 different holes for different gap amounts on boards.

the farther towards the front/back of the board you place the fins the looser/tigher it will ride. if they're set in the board will be slippery off the top of the wake. if they're closer to the edge the board will hold an edge through the wake a lot longer.
