trying to figure out how much weight is required to get a decent wake out of an I/O. I have an 19 footer with a 4.3 v6 motor. Anyone running running around 2,000lbs? I would like to see some pics. Thanks

Don't have pics, but I had a Wellcraft Eclipse 18 ft. I put 200 lbs of sand in the rear, 375lb sac in the rear bench seat and an additional 375 sac in the ski locker, Plus usually 3 guys. I had the same 4.6 liter v6 and I put a 4 blade, 18 pitch prop on it, Still took a little bit to get on plane, but threw a decent wake. Total weight in boat with people was around 1600lbs, and I was pushing it.

hope this helps

Yes i am. To do that much weight we had to gear down to a 4 cylinder gear set and drop the pitch to i believe 18 4 blade. Top speed is about 30-35mph. at riding speeds you are looking about 4k in rpms. I have 1000 in the nose and the rest in the back. My toe side washes but the heal side is clean depending on how hard you cut in. I don't have any pic's as of now but might be able to find some. I hope this helps.
