I've ridden the monarch and love the pop and how it rides but want to be able to get out into the flats a lil easier. The assault looks similar to the monarch but because it flex's I think it would flatten out and hold some speed to take me into the flats.

Has anyone ridden both and can you compare it?

also, any other board suggestions?

I also rode the s4 and loved that board but wanted a lil more pop like the monarch. Someone suggested the viva.

The assault is a little slower, a little stickier, and a little more heavy than the monarch. It is much stronger though because of the way the side rail is constructed. It have a tube of glass that runs the entire edge of the board to make the edge nearly indestructable. Also as far as the flex on that board goes your really not going to feel it. Its not a flex board. It is designed to give, and be a little softer on landings and such
