Have I seen that Excursion at the 24 hour fitness in Aliso viejo?

not so much BB...24 in woodland hills ...yes ;)... nice weekend for floating and drinking... not so much for riding... did get to waste a prop on the river, also get a " saftey/sobriety check " at the boat ramp when returning from a day on the lake, $125 fine for not having reg papers on the boat (oops... left them in the truck) otherwise had a good time

They have been running more and more checks this last year.

Personally I hate the lake, love Laughlin. Kathrines is a zoo and the chances of thunderstorms at any moment are enought to keep me on the lower river. Telephone cove is better but you can tear up some props there.

fri dropped on the lower river ( wasted the prop ) got a new one at holiday ( turned out to be wrong ... 25mph @ 5000 rpm ) dropped it at paradise ( ? ) 5 mi dirt road past tephone cove ... nice ramp no one ever there ... kathines was backed up to almost the ranger station (ouch ) took a buddy 2 1/2 hrs to get off... sat dropped at cottonwood cove ... where the " saftey/ sobriety check " was at 4:30, no one on ramp... but plenty of rangers on seadoos pulling everyone over for a check

We have found the same thing. The 1 hour ride to Cottonwood beats 2 hrs waiting in the truck. The ride to Hav is nice but we drop in at Topoc.

See you there on the 24 - 28

Park Moabi is the best launch ramp on the river between Laughlin and Havi. Never boat from Laughlin to Needles (too many low spots). The best water is from Needles to Parker dam. Deep water and don't need to worry about the prop. My favorite spot is about 5 miles south of Needles to the begining of the Moabi campground. There is great water there if there is no wind. Saturday the water is great until 10 when the big boats head to the sandbar.
