So I took a pretty bad spill about a month and a half ago. I went to the doc and the diagnosis was a torn MCL (thank God not my meniscus and ACL as well). Anyway, I'm a pretty active guy in skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and surfing so they sized me up and ordered me a sports brace. The brace they gave me is a DonJoy extreme action armor brace. I really had only heard of the cti and the asterisk before. After doing a little researching I've found that the DonJoy has some pretty promising reviews...even when compared to the cti (supposedly lighter, more comfortable, and absolutely no migration). I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with the DonJoy or has heard anything about it (supposedly its pretty widely used in skiing, snowboarding, and motocross). I haven't even taken it out on the water yet, but would like to get any extra info I can on it. Thanks in advance

Sorry to hear about your knee, hope your recovery is a speedy one. Let us know what you think of the Donjoy brace. Im currently using a CTI and love it!

Have the DonJoy. It works but Im not the biggest fan. Slides around, Cant keep the straps to stay when getting pulled out of the water, have to watch where you store it because it can bend and get deformed some.

I've just had my donjoy brace (defiance. short thigh, short calf) for a month or so and I am really happy with it. My knee would be sore after 2 sets before the brace and now I can ride without any pain! My only complaint is the Velcro coming undone, so I made a knee brace cover out of stretchy swim suit material.

I have had a donjoy it did not hold up while riding. I now use the cti custom, it worked good at first now the straps are to long now. If you run across one that works good let me know. Goodluck
