speakers are not going to be through malibu..or Kicker..they will be done by dealer aftermarket brand ARC audio components from lightingaccessories.com..I heard them at the dealer and they sound and look good to me

I just had lightning do my system with ARC and it came out sounding incredible. Great company to work with.

that is good to hear...i thought they sounded pretty good in the shop. Do you think its worth getting the 4 tower speakers vs just 2.

54-55k....good/bad price?

I went with the 4 tower component speakers. 4 component interior speakers. 2 - 1000 watt amps and a 12" sub and the system is unbelievable. It is better than I hoped for. Hope that helps.

if i could do it again i would have not gone with the stero and speaker upgrade i just tore it out and replaced everthing, also go for the bow ballest, i dident and i have to roll with the center full all the time if i got more then 4 people, i think the price is awsome i paid 54,000 out the door

Go for 20% off retail, 15% minimum. In the recreational vehicle industry, the dealer cost is roughly 30% below retail. I have found the boat bizz to be the same.

all the malibu fans on this site and so few opinions.

when you say retail is that the same is MSRP 47,900. Also i think that price does not include the trailer for Malibu or obviously any options.

even if they are getting a 30% markup asking 20% off is a alot. i mean dealers have to make money. i know none of you work for free. if you can get 20% off then great, but i also thinking getting 10-15% is still good.

retail would be MSRP of the base boat + MSRP of all the options you add. with the options you stated MSRP should be around 58-60k...you should be able to get 6-8k off of that pretty easily. also, the $47,900 does include a trailer. and, like someone mentioned earlier, don't buy the boat without bow ballast. it is essential on the vlx.

I am looking at the same options minus the power wedge and the bow ballast for around 54...i will be getting a stereo
Old     (jcv)      Join Date: Oct 2005       04-26-2006, 7:28 PM Reply
54 OTD? if so, that's really good. i still say you'll regret not getting bow ballast

get the bow ballast, and if you surf the power wedge.

i am thinking i will opt for the bow ballast...that 54 is before tax

Checked with the BU dealer...the 47,900 does not include trailer
