I used to think that i could get my i/o just as good as a inboard but riding more and more inboards i realized that i can get close but nothing beats a weighted true wakeboard boat. Now i want a wakeboard boat.

Who cares what other people think? Are you asking because you have an I/O and you're afraid people will laugh? heh. Just ride, smile and bring a friend.

If you mean tricking out by adding towers and wakeboarding gear..I think it is fine. How is your 98 searay, is it ready for some upgrades?

I had a i/o, bought it used. After a few years, added a tower, racks, and 5 blade prop, and perfect pass.

Wake wasn't v-drive caliber, but plenty of good times were had.

I don't really ever think about it...but maybe because I ride behind an OB.

I think it all depends on your priorities in life. I could have a $50,000 boat. But then I couldnt afford to have a decent car, decent house, take trips all the time and pay for my other hobbies ect...
Basically there is nothing wrong with owning a decent reliable I/O and turning it out!

I own and I/O and it's almost paid for... yeah I put a lot of wakeboarding stuff on it but hey it puts out a great wake, it looks pretty cool on the water, and chicks dig it I'll have plenty of great memories from my I/O even after I buy my inboard next summer... and I bet whoever I sell it to will have a great time on it as well!

Who cares?

I've got a tower, speakers, fat sacs and most importantly...I paid cash for it.

I'll soon upgrade to a tow boat, but until then it works just fine.
