Is there any difference really between slime and soap? I have friends who just use liquid soap ti slip into their bindings does it really matter if it is slime or soap?

Slime is better, plus it won't damage your bindings.

whatever you use you want it to wash away with no residue. Im a fan of gillette shaving gel. It washes away very well, and is cost effective. Some soaps have lotion in them, and the lotion will leave a slimey film. I tried everything from conditioner to the actually "boot goo' stuff. the shaving gel works best so far. But try 'em out. see what you like best.
