It's definitely about time that Keith Lyman has his own board. not only is he one of the sickest riders in the sport but he has got to be the nicest also. A guy that cool deserves his own pro model boat.

that would be hilarious if it really was. I'm sure we'd start seeing some pretty insane boats if they did that though

Oh board? Yea, agreed. He had a board with Jobe for a few years. After that, it seemed like no one would pick him up until LF.

I think it's awesome that he's had as much success as he has without really winning any major competitions. It just proves that you can't judge every rider by their rank at the end of the pro tour. not that the guys who win it don't deserve it but it also shows that competition riding is different than any other kind of riding

I would argue that three of the top 10 popular riders are generally not contest guys. Lyman, Harris & Greenwood. They may do one or two comps but make a living off having the best video segments and making their tricks unique & stylish(& often big). Lyman had a hard time getting a board sponsor because he breaks a board every third set. I hope LF glassed that thing strong!

He's also known for breaking boats. I'm surprised a boat (yes I mean boat) manufacturer hasn't picked him up yet and advertise the quality of their boats based on the fact they're sponsoring the "boat breaker." Back in the day Murray had his own pro boat. It was a Supreme "Murray edition."

He bought Nunn's old LSV, so if he can make that boat last, maybe Malibu will pick him up.

"Back in the day Murray had his own pro boat. It was a Supreme "Murray edition."" I'm thinking you could add like $15k to an X-Star if you write "Parks' edition" somewhere on it.

Yah, you would think Epic would have been all over hitting up Lyman and/or Harris. That would have been a HUGE move! Ohh, Sorry for dropping the E-word, I know how controversial it can get, lol.

If Lyman bought the boat with his own money, I am sure he will take care of it. I remember when he was with Tige, he used to destroy the transmissions in them. Then a hurricane hit and it sunk the boat. It was the last straw for Tige so they dropped him.

i stand corrected...it was from the WW article form this spring... WW: You just got a new boat sponsor. How did you become sponsored by Malibu? RH: When I started riding again, the first thing that caught my eye was how sick the new Malibu boats look. Ronn hooked me up with our homie Bert who took us out on his and the wake was ill. I felt that Malibu has the best boat on the market, so they were the first and only boat company I wanted to approach. Ronn introduced me to the Malibu crew at Expo. I let them know my goals and that I wanted to represent them and they basically said yes on the spot.

Lymans board is sick. he totally deserves it. i saw him at the expo and it was like he was amazed that he had a pro model board. he is very humble and a true professional with the sport.
