How to creat a rolling video clip for a web site

Hey guys and gals.. need some help I am trying to figure out a way to take a 5 sec video clip and create a rolling gif image or something like that to add to a web page. Does anyone know a way I can do this?

Macromedia Flash is one way... the old way is animated Gif through any animated GIF creators.. you can get any number of the demo version of animated GIF creators on download.com

Adobe/Macromedia Fireworks will do it as well as some freeware stuff.
