20 staples?????? I heard 1 or 2 stories about people feeling the hinge hit them on really hard landings but 20 STAPLES?????

Would be nice if CWB came out with a kit to retrofit the new hinge to the 07 bindings.

There new line is going to be called the Sit and Rip. Really, sorry to hear that. The 08's are going to have the hinge pointing down.

Dood! Are you a contortionist? I just tried to touch my ace to my ankle and I'm not even close! I guess it's different when you're coming down with force.

Sorry to hear that though. That sounds Shiatty!

The new Hinge boots have a reversed lever. So, it flips down.

Yeah I've felt the hinge pokin on my arse when absorbing really big landings with my legs, but luckily I'm still intact.

hahah. a new gooch.

get some of the new hinge techs....you've probably seen that they fold down now.
Old     (hawkeye7708)      Join Date: Feb 2007       09-01-2007, 8:28 AM Reply
Could that be a legit claim to CWB? Could causing "serious" personal injury on a fully functional product, being used the proper way, warrant a new set of "Down Turned" Hinge Tech's? I'm pretty sure there isnt a precedent for an accident like this lol

does anybody know a rep that i could discuss this issue with? I'm not out to screw cwb, but would like them and other riders who spend money for a good product that is suppose to be rider friendly to know what happened.

I'm sure they already know, Justin. I don't think is was because of injuries, but they have already changed the system to fold down.

I think they should give me some 08 Factions just because I'm afraid of being hurt by my 07's. Maybe throw in a new board to help me get over my fears as well?

i think that i've got a story that'll beat yours. this didnt happen to me but one of my good buddies that i ride with all the time. i'm not going to say his name but he was doin a 7 off the double up( i think it was a 7 might of been something else) but he landed really hard adn some how got his nut sack ripped open from the bindings. i think he had like 13 stitches or something like that.

Dan, If you dont want to ride because your afraid of getting hurt then mabey you should find a new sport... like...$hh;t, i dont think there is a sport that you dont get hurt. I guess you should just stay home. I'm not going to stop riding because im afraid of my bindings. I just wanted to let people know that they could be injured by riding them as i have.

You can be injured just as easy with a board to the back of the head, seen it happen, so are you afraid of your board now too.
Its just part of our sport, if you are afraid to get hurt maybe pick up another sport, like curling or bowling.

I had a minor injury from my Factions. HS W2W jump that I tried to get a little extra on and got too far back. Hinge on L boot dug a hole in my right thigh. I was so excited about the extra pop I got that I didn't even notice the damage until I got home.

I just had the right hinge dig into my left thigh aswell on a backside 3. I didn't even notice until I changed into dry clothes and then looked at my purple thigh and was like WTF. The next day I rode and did another not so perfect BS3 and then it all came together as soon as the hinge dug into the already existing bruise.
