I just removed my old Hull ID stickers and the sticky glue is still there. Any tips on removing it? Also, it is a lot whiter where the stickers were. Is there a way to make it match the surrounding hull so it isn't apparent a sticker was there? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Lighter Fluid for the glue, but you will probably have to color sand and buff to even up the contrast in color and it may still be noticeable.

Mike,
Acetone will easily remove the sticky stuff. Just don't get it on stickers or decals. I'd try using Star-Brite Hull Cleaner to make the surrounding area match. You can get it at Walmart or a marine store. It will get your hull cleaner and whiter than many hours of sanding and buffing. You will probably wind up using it on your entire hull. It is great stuff. It is an acid, so follow directions and precautions.

Good luck,
Jman

Thanks for all the suggestions. This board is great. I always get quick answers when I have questions. I am good with engine questions but hull/fiberglass stuff I have no clue.

I used the Goo Gone and it worked like a charm. I will try the Starbrite this weekend but I think with a good wax buffing after the Starlite it will be unoticable. Thanks again.
