Lake Shasta Closed???

I have heard from a couple people that Lake Shasta is closed due to the fires and the water planes landing for water.

Has anyone heard this? I called the sheriff this AM and they told me no, but I keep hearing the same rumor from different people.

I just got off the phone with my daughter who works on shasta, the plane is in the water but the lake is open.

Go to shastalake.com for info. Corum Ranch, Chappie OHV area, the Shasta public campground, and Dry Creek Trail are closed. Those places are all around the immediate west side of Shasta Dam. The rest of the lake is open.

Just got back late last night from Shasta, and did not see any parts of the lake that was closed except for the Antlers marina launch.
