Anybody know anything about Holga cameras? Read the article in Alliance about them and I want to get one, just wondering if people have any experience with them or if they know where to get one and or what kind? I see they have a lot on eBay, but I just do not know enough about them, they look pretty sweet though.

Super fun film camera. It feels like a toy... made out of plastic and really light. They actually sell them new on ebay or you can get a used one... either way they are very inexpensive.

Anybody have any suggestions of 35mm film to use with it?

The holga doesn't use 35mm film. It uses medium format film.

You can get a mod to use 35mm film with a holga. You get a really cool effect because it exposes the whole film, sprockets and all. My fav film (if you feel like throwing down the cash for a toy camera) is Fuji Provia slide film. Super fine grain but costs a pretty penny.

I should probably post these... I didn't take them but it is my boat in the photo. Credit goes out to my pal Scott Regan. Anyway, we had the holga out and we figured, "no mechanical parts, right?" "lets take it for a swim." So we had the thing out wake surfing with us. He got some great shots until the back fell off of it. It was pretty hilarious to see the back just fly off, then see him do a double take and then try to wind the film as fast as he could while wakesurfing. Pretty good stuff. Anyway, check out the photos.

Ya I already have an adapter for mine, I just didn't know what kind of 35mm film people use because it is usually a medium format camera, Where can you get that Fuji Provia film??
