thanks Joe, yep it was the 70-200. I like the files, kind of a 3D look to the images.

Rich, did he move up to Shasta, yet? He's gonna love that set-up. We went up last weekend after the INT event and rode with McMillen and Bree and it was amazing up there. I didn't want to come home.

It's the new Canon 1D mkIII with a Canon 70-200 f4L IS lens. Pretty much everything I need in a camera (and then some)

Pictures look good but it looks like the "Unsharp Mask" or "Sharpen" is a little over used in the 1st and 3rd picture. You can see the "halo" around the rider. Good pictures though.

Good eye Pierce, I'm using the DPP software that comes bundled with the camera since Aperture doesn't support the mkIII yet. It just applies blanket sharpening and then when I compress for WW it exposed the oversharpened areas. The edge sharpening in Aperture doesn't seem to have these issues. Plus these are all seriously cropped, there isn't a full size one in the bunch.

This is a new camera for me and the files react different then other models as you well know so I'm still experimenting. It's too bad the WW server can't handle a little more file/image size because it's hard to do images any justice at the current limits.
