So Im getting real invert envious watching all these riders out throwin inverts and everyone suggests to get a trampoline.

Is 8' big enough or do you need a 14 footer?

i dont have one. but i think 8 would be way to small. think about it, look at the size of your board. not alot of room for error on the landing if its only 8 feet. i would think bigger is better when it comes to this. i read a thread awhile ago saying that 12+ was your best bet.

as big as you can find, you'll still almost fall off.

I have a 12 footer for my kids, It is a joke for me to jump in. By the way it has the netting all the way around it.

I have a 10 footer and I don't think I could do anything on it. I'm 6'4" though. With the net around it, I doubt I could do a flip without killing myself. Now if I could do a perfect flip, maybe. But that ain't happening.

I had a 16' and fell off a few times. Look on craigs list for a used one, bigger the better. If you have the cash to pony up, and square gymnastics quality one is the way to go.

i got the 14 footer from wal-mart and i still fall off every now and then , just gotta be careful and always try to start your tricks in the middle. get the tramp as big as you can for the room you got. and try to keep it away from the house and the concrete.

i got a 10 footer i think and there's no problem
it's dug into the ground though so you can't actually fall off

I went through a few of the Sportmart specials (14 ft I think). They can only take so much abuse and the legs end up bending. Learning how to huck yourself after jumping up is part of the experience. You can toss yourself off a 10 footer just as easy as the 16 footer. +1 on getting a square gymnastic kind (they are expensive)

It is so much easier and safer to throw new inverts on a bigger tramp, way more forgiving than a small one. I have a 14' and wish it was bigger.

12' works... 14' is better... I LOVE my 15'er.
Wifey made me get the net, but I actually don't mind it most of the time. I get a little crazier and it has saved me, but I had no net for years and never took any falls I didn't walk away from.

Next year I'm sinking it into the yard. May have to go a little smaller when I do. No way I'd go lower than 12' though... and might even spring for the rectangular one. They seem to be WAY bouncier.

Definitely get the net not matter what size you get. It's like wearing a helmet snowboarding, you'll try so much more than normal. My kids and I would have broken bones countless times without the net. We're like pinballs in that thing flipping all over the place.
