I have a 2000 Outback ls. Here is the setup I use.

Stock ballast tank full (which I think is 400lbs?).

650-700 lbs in people and extra weight on the back seat and in the rear compartment.(spread even side to side)

650-700 lbs in people and extra weight even with the driver. (spread evenly side to side).

Nothing in the bow.

I use sand. I just put some sand bags in some big plastic tubs I bought for cheap. Saves mess and easy to lift out of boat (relatively speaking).

I don't know if going with any more weight helped or hurt. This is the max i ever run. I too would like to hear others opinions on how to do this.

Wish I had an LS, didn't know anything about wake boarding when I bought my boat... It had a tower must be a wakeboard boat... I have been riding in my buddy's Mobe V but would like to see if anyone is geting a decent wake out of an outback

Won't ever look like a mobV if that's what you mean. Cost you 1/2 as much though and will be decent.
