Assembling your own is nothing special: terminal ends, heat shrink, solder, mini-torch.

I second the welding cable, very flexable and a very high strain count. I am using 2/0 from the engine to the front. I crimped the ends then shrink tube. There are also clampimg or set screw type.( electrical supply/ wholesale )

I got 2 rolls (red & black) of heavy duty 4 gauge wire from O'Reilly's and made my own cables

Salty, my company specializes in heavy duty, marine and industrial electrical. I can make up pretty much any custom cable for you. Are website is not good for much other than seeing a line card and a little history on the company but check it out. We have red and black battery cable from 6 gauge up to 4/0.

Check out Knukonceptz cables

http://www.knukonceptz.com/productMaster.cfm?category=Kolossus%20Fleks%20Kabl e

These cables can be used in marine applications and has a very high temperature range. It is also extremely flexible even the 1/0 gauge. I have the 1/0 (20' of it fused from the batteries to the fused power distribution block for my amps) on my boat and it is extremely flexible, as advertised.

It is extremely easy to make your own length of cable, like a previous post mentioned.
