Can a malibu power wedge be installed on my 1985 Master craft Stars and Stripes ? And what the price on this thing cause i spent half a day lookin online no luck..... im about to try the dealer ship as my last option..

not sure that you should be putting a wedge on a boat hull that it was not designed for.

You really can't. First, your hull isn't designed for it. Both in terms of transom strenth, and water flow to teh wedge.

I would highly reccomend against it. Plus, malibu will NOT sell you one if you give them any indication this is what you are trying to do with it.

Look into installing an automatic ballast system instead.

You cannot install a powerwedge on any pre 08 boat that has not come from the factory with it much less one that was in no way designed for the load of the wedge.

It's over $1,000 for just the parts. Trust me... I know this in a bad way.

If you have ever had stress cracks you would not want to put any additional stress on your boat. Fiberglass is light weight and strong but it shows when it reaches its breaking point.

Personally, I wouldn't put a Malibu wedge on anything.....
