Notice the size of the rooster tail. Seems to change perspective a little.

Nice wake... Better then expected. But how about some figures (speed, ballast, etc)?

Looks great! Now that's more like a Nautique - especially with that trademark rooster. I'm guessing it's slammed though.

Wow that boat must have a ton of weight in it
The rooster tail looks as tall or taller than the boarder.
Are you sure thats not a jet boat

The wake does look nice!

It looks kinda like the 211's wake. The D'up picks don't really give us any perspective on the boat though.

That wake looks awesome. What other boat would you consider it most like?

Any pics of the boat?

Adam is like 5'2. I only met him once, but I know he was short, hope I dont piss him off if he is taller.

Wake looks great, too bad the boat looks like a Ebtide or SeaDoo boat. The rooster tail almost makes it back to the rider.
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       01-31-2007, 9:52 AM Reply
With mine, I know when the rooster is big, the wake is macking...a good sign.
Old     (malibuboarder75)      Join Date: Jan 2004       01-31-2007, 10:34 AM Reply
That has to be a lot of weight, because we rode the boat with stock plust 10 people, and it was nowhere near.
Old     (greatdane)      Join Date: Feb 2001       01-31-2007, 10:41 AM Reply
Can't almost any boat kick up a big wake if you sack the crap out of it?
So, isn't it important to know how this boat is sacked?
The old 210 was amazing because you got a great wake without killing the boats drive/economy performance.
Old     (jarrod)      Join Date: May 2003       01-31-2007, 10:48 AM Reply
Are people really concerned with the "roster tail?" The only person hating that should be the photog.
Old     (norcalmalibu)      Join Date: Jun 2004       01-31-2007, 11:27 AM Reply
I don't think people are hating on the "roster tail." I think people know that when you have a tail like that, usually you have a ton of weight in it.

I agree with GD, personally I don't want a boat that I have to put a ton of weight in it. Im not in the market for carrying around 2k or more worth of weight. Its hard on everything and makes driving a boat feel like your driving a tank.

Don't care what kind of boat it is, if it makes the wake better, I will be piling in the weight. Have yet to ride any wake that I thought was too big. Have yet to find a boat that has a wake that does not benefit from extra weight.

Looks like someone is putting too much weight in the back if you are throwing that kind of rooster tail. That will kill handling and speed control.

I don't think anybody disagrees with that but the point is some boats will produce a big and fun wake @ half the ballast of other boats. That translates to less hassle and less running costs.
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       01-31-2007, 3:01 PM Reply
True, but it's been my experience that the it's the bigger boats that need the most weight. I run 2k in my CC. Do you think there is 2k in this one? 2k is not enough for some other boats out there (will spare the bashing, no need to name).
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       01-31-2007, 5:18 PM Reply
Sorry, I may have been a bit unclear with my opinion.

GD is right, it would be nice to know how much weight is in it, for referrence. I have no idea how much. As long as it isn't ridiculous (3-4k, IMO), I'm good with it.

I guess my point is that I have a boat that others would put very little weight in, I put quite a bit in it. I would think that would work in proportional sense with regards to other boats. Maybe others share some of my views, any boat is going to need weight, not a big deal, it's worth it.

And if I can add another IMO, when weighted properly, the handling should not suffer much. sure it will require a little more effort, but not a deal breaker. When the rooster is up, the wake is kicking.

I agree with you Jeff,EVERY BOAT NEEDS WEIGHT.Bigger boats have bigger storage compartments so just plumb your fat sacs and it doesn't matter if it's 4g,as long as you don't have to tow it around.Reprop, get bigger engine in the boat and sac the hell out of it.Wakeboarding is an expensive sport already so might as well make the wake kickin!

Just went to planetnautique.com.

The rider is: 5'6".
Speed: 24.5.
Line: 85'.

No info on weight.
Old     (ralph)      Join Date: Apr 2002       01-31-2007, 5:59 PM Reply
I think your point is pretty clear Jeff. Everybody uses there boats differently, I have never had to hand fill a sac in my boat and the wake is good enough with my "Factory" system and 550 pounds of lead. I rode a bigger and better wake out of an 06 VLX but we had to hand fill 3 big sacs and it used gas at twice what my boat does, it was fun but not something I would run personally.

I am not impressed until I know the weight added.

Thwe ROSTER TAIL should be of concern if a rider is at 60 FT. That tail looks like it almost hits the rider at 85. Over Ballasted to achieve that wake size?

WHATEVER,People just don't understand that wake and boats are all preference and get mad when somebody expresses how much they like a certain boat!

Get over it people, that's why there is many boat companies not just 2!

Ha, ha, ha.... Now that's funny. I really just want to know how it was weighted. That wake looks kickin'.

I'll reserve judgement on that boat for a while. It always takes a while for people to get weighting dialed on a new boat.

the last time i saw pics from planetnautique of a wake they forgot to mention the boat had 5000 lbs of weight in it. probably the same with this 210. why not post some pics of the wake with reasonable amounts of weight that allow the boat to plane before getting to the otherside of the lake.

I'm all for people expressing their opinion about a boat they love. I love my old 210 and I'll be the first to say it, HOWEVER when I state that opinion I'm not going to do it by talking everyone else that had posted before me. Call them poor, talk crap on their boat, etc, etc.

dang... that guy sure made a lot of friends on here. Boat manufacturers have come a long ways. All the boats now are good. And besides, you can weight the crap out of a boat and you'll get a good wake out of just about any boat. Moombas, Centurions, and MB's included. I will say tho, that X-2 in the delta pics. That wake looked insane
