I'm wondering how the 210 wake of an 05 or 06 compares to the wake of an 06 220. I have ridden behind the 220 and love the poppy wake that it provides without having to add hardly any weight. I have not been behind the 210 though so I was looking for some input..

Does the 05 210 provide the same great wake a 06 220 does? Or what would be much difference? Any info would be greatly appreciated seeing how I'm looking to buy an 05 210 or an 06 220. Thank You

I think most people will say it has a better wake and probably one of the top 3 or 4 wakes of all time. This is if you like riding into a curb.

Nicholas, I've been riding behind 03 210's and 06 210's for almost two years. but have never had the chance to try the 220. from what ive heard of the 220 to the 210. the 210 is steeper! and thats in a really good way. as brett sad, if a 220 is like running into a curb; then your riding into a wall with the 210. so stock ballast makes it a blast. if you do add sacks or peeps. be prepared for some altitude sickness.

Based on my experience (I have an '06 210) the 220 takes a little more attention to get dialed. I like the 220 wake but it is different. I noticed you usually need to run a little faster as well (on 2 different 220's). It's really a matter of preference. You should try to ride behind both before you make a buy decision.

220- Both sides of the wake are never perfect at the same time. Takes little weight for a great wake. Have to ride at 25+ mph. Great wake that really kicks you!

210- (older ones) Wake stays dialed in. The wake is great at 22-24 mph. Wake is great with no weight or a lot- the difference would be the size not the shape. GREAT wake that really, really kicks you!

An old 210, new 210, 220 or 230 were the boats first in line in the wakegiving give away.. Four different wakes, but you'll never complain with any of these wakes. Pre 06 210 is the steepest of the four. Standard ballast and 2 people in the boat is enough for all your and pro's tricks. Haven't riden in the new 210, but the wake suppost to be most compareble with the "old" 210, but a little more forgiven and stable. 220 as a great wake with little ballast, good boat but the wake is a little bit sensitive to weight ratio (left/right and front/rear). 230 is a real big boat with a nice (perfect?) shaped wake. With alot of water behind it. Not a sensitive boat, just easy.

The 06 210 hull is the same as the "old" hulls you mention. Hence, pre 07 wake is the "steepest of the four".
