Fit TV and Shapiro

So I'm flipping channels last night and there is her hotness Gabbie Reece on Fit TV prepairing to ride a drag bike. OK so I have to stop and check it out. She then says lets go and "check out Darin Shapiro and see that there is more than one way to catch a wave." This is where it gets good.

They then show riding clips and interview bites of Darin from I'm guessing 1993-4. He is on a directional Hyperlite board, bungee straps, behind a ski boat with out a tower and a streachy ski rope. Even with all that DS was throwing Raley's, Krypt's, 3's, Rolls and Crows. It was even more funny because the word skiing was used alot.

Three take aways...
1) Couldn't Fit TV come up with some current video at least some from this century.
2) Wakeboarding has come a LOOOOONNNNGGGGG way.
3) Shapiro could rip with equiment that none of us would even think about riding with today.

sounds like a crappy representation of the sport for sure..

however your right Darin won worlds in 96 behind a maristarV off the ski pylon wearing bungis on his old bullet shaped board,set then a record throwing three consecutive mobes ,one out in the flats with no wake..didnt come out of those bungees once..weird huh
