From Castanet.net

Kelowna's Campion Marine Incorporated has agreed to start producing Svfara wakeboard and surf boats. Campion and Svfara Marine Inc.,both located in Kelowna, made the announcement with the launch of their 2009 model year line up of the Allante, Chase and Explorer models.

"Campion is celebrating thirty-five years of boat building," says Campion's General Manager, Brock Elliott. "With the addition of Svfara, an established wake board brand, to Campion's diverse product line, we see
this as a real winning combination for Campion, Svfara, our dealers and boaters world-wide”

Elliot says the company is looking to use Campion's worldwide distribution network of more than 80 dealers to take Svfara, a ten year old towboat manufacturer, to a new level of product exposure.

Given the current economic climate, smaller boat companies that hope to survive are going to have to be creative. Campion and Svfara have entered into a joint venture agreement that will see Svfara boats built in the Campion factory and marketed through their dealer network. Campion has eleven dealers in Sweden for example. Their distribution network alone will go a long way to help out Svfara.

Do they do the V-drive midmount ski boat? Whats the performance improvement of that config?
Old     (rodltg2)      Join Date: Oct 2005       10-13-2008, 6:15 PM Reply
The idea behind the vdrive mid mount is that it makes a relatively long for a ski boat (21') drive/track like a much smaller boat. It also reduces prop wash for shortline skiers. The boat is a blast to drive. It tops out at 52pmh and has the fastest holeshot ive ever seen. It really is a sports car on water. The faster you go ther better it handles.

Not sure if Metcraft was building reverse towers as early as fall 2004 when I saw the first Svfara version? Sampson does the metal tower pictured below.

The walkway is a bit narrow compared to other boats I have been in but the interior is deeper than most. For a 23' boat it turns like an inboard ski boat.

A few pics of boats from this summer.

JK-

How are they selling compared to your other line?

I love these boats, I wish Jon would focus on them again... I think I would pull the trigger on a SV3 with the Samson tower.

Take care.

Kscales,

The "other" brand we sell has excellent sales momentum as we have represented it since 2001 so Svfara has some catching up to do. But given that this is really only the second season of working hard with Svfara, it is going well. The SV3 is a well thought out design.

The wake pic above is factory ballast only and three people in the boat.

That red boat looks nice on the water. I have always liked the pics I have seen of their interiors. The doghouse on the Direct Drive looks cool too.

The BMW of wake boats..........YES!!!

The interiors on Svfara are better then any other boat out there. They don't use cheap thin vinyl like other highend boats. Cough cough Mastercraft. The materials and design are quite different than other boats as well. I have sat in a few Svfara's at the boat shows and the fit and finish are great on these boats. Svfara was doing LED interiors years ago as well. The one thing I always really liked was the drivers seat felt like you were sitting in a Recaro racing seat. Svfara may be a smaller dealer but the product they put out is very nice.

Svfara as also been doing the reverse tower for a couple of years now....that's nothing new.

I like the boat but tell me why they're using velcro tabs to hold the seats in place? I saw this on the local SV at a show last year. Disappointing after being impressed with the rest of the boat.

"ROD BMW of wake boats? Malibu has to have the plushest interior out there!!!"

I've owned 3 BMWs and loved them all dearly but I have to say that their interior isn't the "plushest interior out there" by any stretch of the imagination.

-Tons of computer gizmos crammed into the console? Check.
-Nice, yet somewhat spartan interior? Check.

Looks pretty BMW to me. Just pray the trailer doesn't have lug bolts.
