The 2000 Moomba Kamberra was my first boat! You certainly can wakeboard and surf behind it! You'll just need weight.
I plumbed in two 750 lb bags in the engine compartment and put the largest bag (can't remember the size anymore) I could fit in the ski locker. I'd keep 3 350 lb bags to move around the boat and a 750 lb bag I'd throw on the seat to surf. Of course, with a shaper and lead, you'll be much better off.

It was an incredible boat to get me in the sport. I never had issues with the engine and the hull was sound.

Enjoy it!
