I need to drill a 1" hole for my tower harness connector, I'm want to use a hole saw bit, but do they make a bit for fiberglass? or just any hole saw bit will work?

Any input would help
Thanks
Ken

any hole saw..preferable with many small teeth. Start by running bit in reverse holding steady. Once scored..run in forward.
...and mask tape over hole before cutting into

They make an abrasive type hole saw that works the best. You can find them at any big home improvement store..........

put some duck tape over the fiberglass before you start cutting i'll hepl with not letting the fiberglass chip away.

I tape and run the hole saw in reverse until I'm done and it has always been clean.

Mask off the side you care about (top / gelcoat side). Punch through from the topside with the holesaw and score the top surface in reverse, go under the deck and score the underside in reverse as well, back to the top and cut through... no chipping whatsoever.
