Soooooo... Like I posted on the "Format or Paradigm?" thread, new boat this year and a couple of new boards has equaled disaster some how in my riding this year.....Not that I was super awsome to begin with.... but I was stoked for the new equipment, as well as my second full season of riding this year. (especially since I had progressed so much last year)
For some odd reason It's been back to square one, I've been messing around with line length and speed, and it's be messing with my timing (or I'm just getting old).... and well today I took 2 hard spills. Had the Go Pro running so I thought I'd share my woes with you all, so at least you can have a laugh at my expense.
First one is just sliding out in the flats.... I looked down.... The Decades fat round rail is an unforgiving #!*?. sorry about the audio, but If you listen you can hear the smack!
Second one... I knew was bad when I hit the wake and should have bailed.... but thought I could make it stick.

Enjoy!

Owwwwwww! looks kinda painful. On the plus side that was some glassy lookin' stuff you were crashing your brains out on! I've had my share of new board growing pains too. You'll get it figured out. GoPro makes it hard to tell, and not that it really matters, but how fast were you going?

In the flats you were standing up straight and the pull of the boat won.You always need a little backwards lean.On your jump you just caught the lip of the wake and got pulled forward. What will help in this situation is to pull the handle to your lead hip as you push off the wake, then you can let it out slowly in the air to maintain your backwards lean so you can land on edge and maintain your balance.Hope this helps.

22-23 mph. Thanks for the advice Robert... Like I said before it was one of those jumps where right from the approach it didn't feel right, but I went for it anyway.
Was very sore the next day, but strapped on the my Cartel and by the second set found my timing. Rode the Decade for the third set and was back to wear I left off last year, which is doing tantrums.
To quote J.B. "I've got to use the pair in my shorts" and stick it.
Still kinda find it hard to believe that after 8 frustrating sets everything felt right on the 9th..... this ever happen to anyone else?
