As mentioned the maristar 200vrs and 210 are completely different hulls with completely different characteristics.
The maristar 210 and the X 10 are identical. The X10 just came standard with the x graphics, tower, ballast, perfect pass, and upgraded stereo. The Maristar 210 is a great all around family boat. It's does everything good, but doesn't excel at any one thing either. The wake on the 210/x10 is a bit wider than the 205v hull and is much more rampy. It takes a bit more weight in the maristar 210 to get the wake pumping. You can get a solid intermediate wake out of it. It's just one of the more mellow/rampy wakes in the MC line. The boat has tons of storage and almost twice the cockpit room of the 205v hull. The maristar 210/x10 also surfs a bit better than the x1. It has a longer pocket and a bit more push, mostly due to the fact it will handle more weight than the 205v. The biggest sac u can put in the 205v is the 750. I believe the maristar210/x10 will hold an 1100. I would have to check On that as I am not 100% certain.
Most people will say the Maristar 210/x10 will handle chop a big better than the 205v as the hull isn't as flat as the 205v. However I will say its not by much. They both are still 21ft wakeboats with flat hulls. If you don't know how to drive u can get hammered in both thru the chop.
All in all if you want a quick comparison on whether to go 205v hull or x10/ maristar hull you have to put your priorities in order.
205v hull
Ferrari like handling
Monster Pro caliber wakeboard wake(still arguably one of the best ever produced)
Avg-below avg surf wake. Just enough to get you going and having fun, but it's size is the limit
Arguably the best slalom wake from a v drive ( still able to take in a course)
Very tight inside with 6 adults n gear( ie coolers backpacks towels snacks) but I still say above average on storage space for a boat that size from back in that era. The compartments are deep and sized generously.... Again for a boat that size and era, but it the narrow beam that makes the cockpit get cramped fast with adults and coolers for a day trip
Maristar 210
Tons of space
Handles a bit better In chop
Avg wakeboard wake
Ok recreational ski wake (no course driving and I bigger bump at the shorter lengths)
Avg surf wake for 21 ft'r
8 adults n gear no problem.
Takes a bit more weight to get the wakeboard pumped up
Handles more like an I/o than a true comp boat due to the lack of tracking fins
