OK who has tried removing your amp boards after gluing them to the side of the boat???

after having my stereo stuff stolen last night...before I could even install it, I have found out that the PG Tantrum 1200.1 has been discontinued so I now need to mount a different Amp. Iam going to go with the JL 1000/1 amp, but obviously the Amp board and bolt line up I had for the PG 1200 is not going to work. So, How difficult is it going to be to rip the board off the side of the boat???

What did you glue it on with? If you used something that reacted chemically with the fiberglass you may have to cut it out and grind off your spacers. If you used some sort of surface mount adhesive it will probably come free with a little prybar action

Rich: I had to remove amp boards from Harolds SAN
The amp boards were glued on with some sort of 2 part epoxy that was like cement. It depends on what was used to glue your amp boards on with.

I had to use a chisle and a crowbar to get Harolds off. It was a whore.

I have had to remove amp boards form my Air. I used Liqued Nails to glue them on. They came off in one peice with putting a putty knife between the glue and the hull the putty knife cut threw the glue like a razor when I with it with a hammer, I was able to use the prybar to bend the wood back and hammer and putty knife and peal them off. The amp boards come down if you need them to but wont be comming down on accident.
I know there are stronger glues but IMP its overkill and like I said it makes taking the amp boards down if you ever need to a pain in the @ss. Here are some photo's of Harrolds amp board removal. It sucked
