Hi, it's time to finally replace the Clarion Head Unit in our boat. (Skips, Lags, etc)
What Head Units have you installed lately in your boat, any feedback would be great.
I really want something that will do MP3, WMA, and is IPod ready.

I've been looking real hard at the Alpine CDA-9827 like this one:

Thanks - Chris

I recently installed a Sony CDX 7700 in my boat. Just make sure you buy a head unit with 3 pre outs(4 VOLT). My system started sounding bad and I installed this receiver and man what a difference it made.

I replaced my Clarion and found out that only marine Clarion head units support the clarion wired remotes. I purchased a Clarion DXZ845MC with the Music Catcher feature thinking my remotes would work as long as it was a Clarion head unit. I was wrong. I went round and round looking for a solution and none of them worked. Because I want my wired remotes to work I ended up purchasing the Clarion XMD3 which only has 2 sets of RCA outputs. At least my remotes work.

Sony MP70 or MP80 will do all of that and has the G shock thing so your cd's will not skip. Very happy with mine. You can get them on ebay for $250. Also compatibale with the Marine remotes.
