yesterday while picking someone up at a public dock I hit a rock at a very low speed (barely in gear). I noticed at low speeds a vibration until you get on plane. Any insight will help, is this a quick cheap repair, or a long expensive repair?

The longer you run with a vibration, the more damage you can do to the attached v-drive unit and transmission. You probably dinged the prop, which will cause vibration, but if you hit the rock solid enough, you could have bent the strut. If the strut is bent, the shaft is bent.

Have it checked out before any more damage is done.

Change the prop., fixes the problem most of the time.

You can replace it or have it reconditioned for about one third the price of a new one. Or buy a new one and have it re-worked and kept as a spare.
