can anyone give some good info on a tower speaker system for a '07 Mobius LSV? I hear WetSounds makes a very good product, but its gonna be pretty expensive to load the boat with that system... anything else out there that compares but will not put such a large hole in the bank account?

Nothing will compare to HLCD type tower speakers. There are definately cheaper options but you will not get as good a sound if you went with a wetsounds or any HLCD setup AFAIK.

We like the NVS. So much that we upgraded to two more units and 1800 watts.

Check out Roswellwakeair.com they make a ton of tower speakers that fit onto any tower, worth checking out the website for sure!

I've got WetSound Pro 80s on my boat. They are really nice but I've got to admit the the NVS system I see (and hear) on my home lake nearly every time I've been out this summer is BUMPING. Of course, when I talked to the owner he's got more than 5K just in the tower, so not for the budget minded. The pro 80s are more adequate for a lot less money.

The NVS and the wetsounds stuff is similarly priced. A few hundred difference depending on the setup.

I'd say it really depends on what you want to do with it, listening to it riding or cranking tunes when tied up.

I'm riding with a pair of WS Pro 60s with a RF P1 and it sounds awesome at 23 mph at 75 ft. I've not heard too many systems on the lake that you can hear any better than what I've got, especially for what I've got in it.

Course the whole key is to get the right amps and power it right...

The best deal by far right now is the Bullet Hollow Point 770 HLCD's. They normally retail for $900 but can be had for $540 right now on their website. I run four of them and show each one 225 watts from a Boston Acoustic GT-28 which has a nice little feature called Q-tune which allows you to bump up the mid bass.
